Really, I’m terrible at describing experiences. But do you remember that episode of The O.C., where they were in a club, and Modest Mouse was playing? Of course you don’t. But anyway, it was kind’ve like that, expect since I’m not guy-who-played-Seth-Cohen or the smoken’ hot Rachael Bilson, there was no space to move in the crowd.

It was still pretty awesome - and one of their openers - a fantastic band called Man Man (not to be confused with the Incredible Man Man, a superhero with the powers of an ordinary man) really surprised me my being - quite possibly - more awesome than Modest Mouse themselves.

Yeah, I said it. They just performed with such a ridiculous energy - sometimes going as far as playing the drums with their feet - it was great. But to describe their sound? That’s, uh… a bit difficult. It’s a bit like… ninja big band fist kick rock. With xylophones. Too awesome.
